Ask the assistant by voice or text

Say its name and ask, or type @ and its name in chat. It answers in the room.

What it is

A room with the assistant turned on shows an AI on badge. Ask it by voice, starting with its name, or by text with @ and its name. Everyone in the room sees the answer, and voice answers are read aloud on every phone and watch there.

When to use it

Use it to recap what happened, look something up, or find what someone said earlier.

How to do it

  1. The first time you use it in a room, KeyUp explains how it works. Tap Allow to let the assistant hear your questions there.

    Allow the assistant once.

  2. By voice: hold to talk (or turn the crown) and start with the assistant’s name, like “Lexi, how many pallets are on dock 3?” Let go when you’re done asking.

    Say its name, then ask.

  3. By text: in the room chat, type @ and the assistant’s name, then your question, and send.

    Ask by text with @.

  4. You’ll see Thinking…, then the answer appears in the room chat and plays out loud on every phone and watch there. Tap Stop the answer to cut it short.

  5. On the watch, swipe up and tap Ask AI, then press the button and ask.
