Room and Space settings (for admins)

Change who can join, how people talk, PINs, transcripts and members.

What it is

Owners and admins can change how a room works and who is in it. Space settings cover the whole group.

When to use it

Use it to lock a room down, turn on transcripts, or manage people.

How to do it

  1. Open the room and tap the settings button at the top (Room settings).

  2. Change what you need: Who can join, Allow guests, Ask for a PIN, Ways to talk, and Talking at once (One at a time or Everyone at once). Under Limits and transcripts, turn on Save transcripts. Tap Save changes.

  3. Under People in this room, tap someone to Make moderator, remove them, or ban them.

  4. For the whole Space, go to the People tab and tap Space settings. Here you can rename it, set transcripts on or off by default, see Members and roles and Invitations sent.
